Arugam Bay is best known for the long, clean lines of its main point break, yet the place reveals more when explored beyond the surf. Sandy lanes lead to cafés and small guesthouses, fishing boats return at first light, and nearby lagoons and dry-zone landscapes bring wildlife remarkably close to the coast.
