Nuwara Eliya offers a different Sri Lanka: crisp mornings, vegetable farms, clipped gardens and tea-covered slopes beneath shifting cloud. Colonial-era architecture remains visible, but the deeper story belongs to the highland environment and the Tamil communities whose labour built the tea economy.
